We’re Here To Help

 

Welcome to Student Support we are here to help you achieve your current and future goals in practical nursing education. We know that everyone who walks through our doors is a unique person dealing with different life circumstances. The student support services include academic, career counseling, peer mentoring, tutoring, financial aid advising, scholarship information, transfer assistance, books and other support services.

The primary goal for Student Support Services is to encourage the enrollment and retention of students and to facilitate the successful completion of their goals in the college. In addition to these general services, several program-specific student support services are set in place to address the particular needs of students. Whatever your situation, we’re here for you with a range of student support services to help you along your nursing educational journey.

Student Success Planning

Student Support Services will contact students who have midterm referrals and are struggling academically. They will help design an academic plan that will help each student improve academically. Student Support Services will help the student set up academic tutoring that will assist them reach their academic success.

  • Tutoring assistance
  • Student disability accommodations
  • Student advocacy
  • Help students to prepare for State Nursing Board Exam.

Personal and/or Financial Assistance and Support

Student Support Services acts as a coordinator to assist students with, stress management, anger management, communication skills, We are here to help students identify social, emotional or financial problems that may intervene in educational and academic progress and provide strategies to combat these problems. Student Support Services will help resolve issues and conflicts between student, teachers and administration that arise between students and faculty. We will help to resolve any complaints from the students.

Job Search

Student Support Services will help graduates find LPN jobs. We will assist with career development, job searches, application strategies,
resume writing (Including resume workshops every month), and interview skills.

Student Support Services will help coordinate student activities with in the school

These agencies consist of Family and Child Social Services, Anger Management Clinics, Domestic Violence Shelters, Homeless Shelters, Eye Care Centers, City of Chicago Mental Health Clinics, and Counseling Centers
